Finite Element Methods for a Class of Nonlinear Boundary - Value Problems in Finite Elasticity
I So'U ds, anz where n is an open bounded domain in mn, n = 1, 2, or 3, Po = PO(x) is the mass density of a particle x € n in the reference configuration of the body, o(u) is the strain energy function, f is the applied body force density, So is an applied traction on a portion an? of the boundary an of n where an = anI U aoz and, for convenlence, we set u = 0 a.e. on anI' The functional TI is ...
متن کاملOn two classes of third order boundary value problems with finite spectrum
The spectral analysis of two classes of third order boundary value problems is investigated. For every positive integer $m$ we construct two classes of regular third order boundary value problems with at most $2m+1$ eigenvalues, counting multiplicity. These kinds of finite spectrum results are previously known only for even order boundary value problems.
متن کاملDegenerate scales for boundary value problems in anisotropic elasticity
Degenerate scales usually refer to a size effect which causes non-unique solutions of boundary integral equations for certain type of boundary value problems with a unique solution. They are closely connected to the presence of a logarithmic function in the integral kernel of the single-layer potential operator. The equations of the elasticity theory provide one of the known application fields ...
متن کاملB-Spline Finite Element Method for Solving Linear System of Second-Order Boundary Value Problems
In this paper, we solve a linear system of second-order boundary value problems by using the quadratic B-spline nite el- ement method (FEM). The performance of the method is tested on one model problem. Comparisons are made with both the analyti- cal solution and some recent results. The obtained numerical results show that the method is ecient.
متن کاملL2-transforms for boundary value problems
In this article, we will show the complex inversion formula for the inversion of the L2-transform and also some applications of the L2, and Post Widder transforms for solving singular integral equation with trigonometric kernel. Finally, we obtained analytic solution for a partial differential equation with non-constant coefficients.
